Accor Corporate Headquarters Strengthens Leadership Strategy with Speexx Coaching™
Accor, a global leader in hospitality, developed a comprehensive skills development program for managers at its corporate headquarters. Alongside the offered training courses, Accor partnered with Speexx to implement an online coaching solution tailored to these managers. After a successful pilot, the company decided to expand Speexx Coaching™ across the organization.

To support this vision, Accor has introduced a comprehensive two-year skills development program for managers at its corporate headquarters.
This program covers everything from foundational management skills to advanced leadership, with a focus on everyday management practices. It includes 28 key topics organized into 6 blocks, addressing the fundamental aspects of managerial roles. The program is designed around three key objectives that drive Accor’s strategic excellence: change management, cultivating a feedback culture, and talent management, with a particular emphasis on individual growth.

Challenge
The original format of the development program relied exclusively on training courses, which did not fully address the diverse needs of the managers. While the program covered a broad range of topics, it did not fully meet individual needs, and many participants wanted to explore certain concepts in more depth. As a result, Accor’s corporate headquarters partnered with Speexx to introduce a personalized coaching solution to complement the existing training programs.
Solution
In October 2023, the Speexx Coaching™ pilot was launched, involving approximately 30 managers. The coaching experience, designed to complement the training courses, was structured into three key phases.
First, each manager completed a personalized online self-assessment to evaluate their experience and expectations, setting the stage for tailored coaching. Based on their responses, managers were presented with the three most relevant coaches from a pool of certified coaching experts.
The second phase involved the ‘chemistry’ session, where the manager met their selected coach for the first time to establish rapport and outline their coaching journey. During this meeting, managers and coaches collaboratively outlined the coaching journey and created an action plan.
The final phase took place after every three hours of coaching, when the manager and coach conducted a self-assessment to track and refine progress and skill development.

Outcome
The implementation of Speexx Coaching™ at Accor’s corporate headquarters was highly successful, achieving an impressive satisfaction rate of 4.8/5. The effectiveness of the solution and the quality of the coaches were evident, with only 3% of managers requesting a coach change.
Additionally, Speexx Coaching™ enabled Accor to engage a broader audience, traditionally reserved for senior executives, with 60% of coaching participants being middle managers.
From an L&D perspective, this initiative provided a scalable and cost-efficient coaching solution, optimizing resources while offering greater flexibility and deep personalization. Ultimately, the successful rollout of Speexx Coaching™ has supported the individual growth and development of Accor’s managers at its corporate headquarters.
Outlook
Following the success of the initial pilot, Accor Corporate has chosen to roll out the Speexx Coaching™ solution to a larger group of managers, allowing them to track progress globally through the Speexx Manager management tool. Learners can review their progress after three hours of coaching.
In the future, to further enhance the positive impact of this solution, Accor Corporate will integrate Speexx Coaching™ into its core skills development strategy, making it directly accessible to anyone participating in the management training program.
