Grupo Konecta: Centralized Language Training Across Three Continents
Grupo Konecta, a multinational leader in BPO and CRM services, merged with Italy’s Comdata in 2022, forming a company with over 130,000 employees across three continents. As a result, a centralized language training program with Speexx was implemented, making English the organizational language while considering each country’s needs.
About
Grupo Konecta is a multinational leader in the provision of integral BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) services. Founded in 1999 in Spain, the company has grown significantly, expanding its presence worldwide and currently operating in over 10 countries across Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
The collaboration with Speexx started through a bidding process in which a wide portfolio of suppliers was analyzed. One objective was to find a single solution for coordinated management. This would support the company’s international expansion while addressing the unique needs of each country.
A global learning digitalization project was created with a dedicated team to help Konecta optimize the budget through the scalability of the solution.
Language training with Speexx has been a success! Speexx has helped Konecta to define a unique and global language training methodology. It has accompanied us in one of our major organizational changes in the post-integration context, allowing us to consolidate in a short time the language skills of our teams in more than ten countries, with more than 500 students worldwide!
Challenge
Previously, Konecta had a decentralized language training model, where each country implemented programs based on regional needs, making it difficult to assess employee language levels, especially among management. Effective collaboration has always been a priority, so centralizing training on a single platform was essential.
Since partnering with Speexx in 2022, Konecta has improved communication across regions with different languages (EMEA and LATAM), bringing the company closer to its business objectives while fostering a stronger sense of belonging among employees.
Solution
The training plan meets Konecta’s learning needs by providing personalized and relevant content for its workforce. A local management approach has been adopted, allowing each HR department to decide the appropriate learning path for their users, ensuring tailored development.
With over 1,500 trainers worldwide, Konecta’s training program has successfully covered the need for sessions across all time zones. This program is currently focused on senior executives and middle management from various departments, ensuring that leaders across different regions receive the necessary training to drive company-wide progress.
Outcome
The success of the program has resulted in the expansion of the training to 13 countries in which the Konecta Group operates. This is due in part to the constant measurement of results with tools such as Speexx Manager, which has allowed HR departments to detect needs and monitor the overall progress of the project.
Attendance at the sessions is high, with an overall average in all countries of 75%. User level progress is noticeable and user satisfaction with the platform is equally high, at 4.5/5. In addition, from 2022 to 2023, the total number of platform users increased by 35%.
Outlook
Looking ahead, we will strengthen current training programs and introduce new ones. The aim is to improve service quality continuously and adopt flexible solutions that adapt to Konecta’s evolving needs.
The project aims to expand, inviting other countries to participate by actively listening to users’ needs. Ultimately, it seeks to support Konecta Group’s strategy by training its teams not only in language skills but also in technical and soft skills, a key pillar of its strategic vision.
