At Speexx, we believe firmly that every organization should be officially certified. While gaining recognition is beneficial, certification primarily serves as a testament to credibility. In the realm of digital learning, how much credibility could we assign to a trainer responsible for assessing learning outcomes if they themselves have never undergone any assessment?
This need for credibility is considerably heightened by the emergence of new digital players bringing innovative uses to more traditional solutions. These new digital practices do not yet benefit from long-term feedback. This is all the more true in sensitive, regulated sectors such as insurance and automotive. It is therefore essential to obtain certification if you want to become a trusted partner in the digital world.
This qualitative approach has always been a hallmark of Speexx.
ISO Certification
In 2009, we introduced a rigorous quality control system; by thoroughly auditing all our long-term processes, we are able to provide our partners with increasingly reliable and relevant language training. This system enabled Speexx to earn DIN ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2018. This world-renowned standard crowns Speexx ability to meet the requirements of customers and various stakeholders while being part of a continuous improvement process.
New Challenge: IT Security
The development of digital technology in our daily working lives, with new practices such as telecommuting and hybrid work models, brings new challenges, particularly in terms of IT security. An online service must not only be reliably accessible at all times but must also rigorously respect users’ security and confidentiality. This is why new regulations have emerged in favor of data protection, such as the GDPR in Europe. This new need calls for specific assessments and guarantees of security.
TISAX Certification
The automotive industry, highly sensitive to IT security issues, has understood the importance of rigorous standards. That’s why European automakers introduced Trusted Information Security Assessment (TISAX) certification for themselves and their suppliers. Based on the ISO/EIC 27001 and 27002 standards, TISAX certification provides a framework for secure information processing systems and their best practices. Since 2017, it has been strengthened by considering various tasks linked to the cloud. As a result, we enlisted TÜV Rheinland to audit us. This enables us to meet the requirements of our various partners in the automotive world. Moreover, we believe that the criteria imposed by TISAX are suitable for other sectors. Following these audits, we are proud to be the first digital learning platform in the world to hold TISAX certification, as of March 2021.
CEFR: Know What You’re Talking About, Whatever the Language
In addition to having the quality of our training courses inspected, Speexx believes that the certifications we deliver should be as universally understood as possible; a belief that is reinforced by the development of digital self-training. This is why we have decided to assess our users in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages learning, teaching, and assessment.
We didn’t want to define our own scales, which would be difficult to understand. Instead, we chose the world-renowned CEFR system, with its A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 proficiency levels. This provides learners with a clear idea of where they stand and allows them to enhance their employability by including a universally recognized level system in their Learning Journey. Each time a learner passes a level, they receive a digital certificate based on the CEFR, providing concrete proof of their language proficiency.

Sector-Specific Legitimization
In 2020, Speexx received the Worlddidact Award for the eighth time from the leading professional association for educational resources. We also received the award in 2023, after a month-long audit. In March 2021, a new milestone was achieved: Speexx became the first digital language training solution to be listed in Fosway’s 9-Grid. In 2022, as a “strong performer,” we moved into the top category of this grid; and since 2023, we have been recognized as a “core leader.” Fosway, Europe’s No. 1 HR and training analyst firm, created the 9-Grid, which is the only analysis model for the Learning Journey market.

All these certifications and accreditations come from our users. In the context of corporate skills development, there are two types of users that should not be overlooked: the employees who want to improve their skills and use the training platform to do so, and the HR and training teams who need to assign, monitor, and manage the various licenses deployed within their company.
