Increasing Human Connection through Coaching
The session will show how to slow down and record real-time interactions in a way that promotes reflection, levels the playing field, and helps learners develop important digital relationship skills. It will also show how to create opportunities to practice new skills in a safe space through small group coaching that can enhance valuable leadership skills, including listening, getting comfortable with others’ perspectives, asking insightful questions, giving and getting direct feedback, and helping people find their own solutions.
The session will highlight the importance of human connection during the learning process and will include real-world examples of simulations and peer-to-peer online learning experiences used by organizations like the United Nations to train their staff and partners. ITCILO will share its approach to game-based learning and showcase its new gamified coaching & mentoring experience.
